Healthy Distribution Center

Visit Our Virtual Showcase and Educational Seminars at ProMatDX

ProMatDX is just around the corner, and Honeywell Intelligrated is excited to demonstrate our end-to-end distribution center (DC) solutions designed to help you transform your operations from DC Now to DC Next. If you are planning on attending this year’s premium digital event for supply chain and manufacturing professionals — taking place the week of April 12–16 — make sure to register now and check out the Honeywell Intelligrated virtual showcase page on the ProMatDX website.

Throughout the week of the show, we will be presenting a combination of educational seminars and informative virtual demo sessions conducted by Honeywell Intelligrated subject matter experts.

Educational seminars will cover the following topics:

  • April 13, 1:30 p.m. CT: Micro-fulfillment Strategies for the Future of Omnichannel Retail — Mario D’Cruz, senior director of strategic marketing, Honeywell Intelligrated, will explain how companies are adopting micro-fulfillment center (MFC) strategies to improve delivery time frames and shorten the distance between DCs and their customers. Attendees will learn how MFCs can be installed in stand-alone facilities or in (or near) existing stores to augment regional DC hubs and deliver highly automated, small-footprint automation where it’s needed most. Mario will discuss how everyone from grocers to major e-commerce players to traditional big-box stores are leveraging MFCs to satisfy demands for faster delivery and provide the option to buy online and pick up in store (aka BOPIS or “click-and-collect”). Learn why retail stores and fulfillment centers alike are investing in MFC technologies to ease the burden of tight turnaround times and high customer demands.
  • April 15, 9:00 a.m. CT: Drive Smarter Operations With Mobile Robots — Eric Harty, vice president, robotics solutions offering, Honeywell Intelligrated, and Dr. Thomas H. Evans, chief technology officer, Honeywell Robotics, will explore how autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are among the fastest-growing automation strategies used in distribution and fulfillment (D&F) operations. Eric and Thomas will discuss why AMRs have robust capabilities that enable them to be leveraged throughout busy warehouse environments, such as: transporting loads up to 1,500 kilograms; superior vision and mapping technologies to perceive and navigate warehouses and factories; and the intelligence to dynamically reroute around obstacles without operator intervention while recognizing and avoiding everything from people to fork truck tines. They will explain how AMRs can be inserted into existing operations with little or no new infrastructure, and require only a few hours to learn their surroundings. Attendees will learn how multiple top-mounted attachments enable AMRs to perform various applications, including: pallet conveyance, returns processing, automated machine tending, and much more.

Virtual demo sessions include:

From receiving to shipping, order picking to consolidation, lifecycle management to IIoT-enabled infrastructures, we’ll show you how to accelerate your transition from DC Now to DC Next
