Static Discharge Sticks
STATIC DISCHARGE STICKS
Designed to be used on de-energized capacitors and other voltage retaining components to drain the residual DC voltage before maintenance work is performed.
The unit consists of a foam filled fiberglass handle with a hook or straight metallic end fitting with a copper ground cable attached to the metallic end fitting. Units are supplied with #6 or #2 ground cables along with an eye terminal, alligator clamp, or ground clamp. Static Discharge Sticks are also available with external resistors rated for different joule values or fuses (max 8kV).
Fiberglass handle meets the requirements of the ASTM F711 standard.
Note: Static Discharge Sticks are not grounding tools as described by OSHA 1910.269 and carry no fault duty rating.
